Ms. Heaphy specializes in the treatment of relationship problems, interpersonal difficulties, depression, anxiety, and life change issues. Ms. Heaphy has over 15 years experience providing psychotherapy for individuals, groups and couples. She received her Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University (NYU). She received her Post Graduate Certification in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from The National Institute for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (NIP), where she specialized in Relational Psychoanalysis, which is one of the most contemporary of analytic theories. She is a licensed therapist, therefore insurance companies will reimburse for services rendered.
Initially, she focused her practice in Manhattan where she trained with some of the best psychoanalysts in the country, as well as, providing counseling, supervision and training at Beth Israel Medical Center. She then transitioned to Nyack and West Nyack, NY and now is solely practicing psychotherapy in New City in Rockland County.
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

Ms. Heaphy is an “out-of-network” provider for all insurance plans. This means that
(1) in order to receive reimbursement for your treatment sessions, your insurance coverage must include “out-of-network” mental health (also referred to as “behavioral health”) benefits; and
(2) you agree to pay for treatment out-of-pocket and submit claims forms to your insurance company for reimbursement. Ms. Heaphy will gladly complete required forms for you so that you can submit claims and obtain authorization for additional sessions as needed.
Offering professional supervision to mental health professionals. Group and individual format available. Supervisory sessions apply toward professional advanced licensing.
